Customer Service and Technical Support Representative – Full-Time

Job Summary: Provide exceptional customer support and troubleshooting to our customers.

Bug Tussel Wireless Company Overview: Join our awesome Bug Tussel Wireless Team “We’re out there.” As a Customer Service and Technical Support Representative, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to all prospective and existing customer’s telephone or written inquiries in an effort to build long term relationships, while meeting department service level and quality expectations. This position is responsible for determining issues, incident reporting, problem resolution, escalation and follow up in a timely manner while adhering to company policies and procedures as appropriate.

Job Duties:

  • Troubleshoot technical problems related to wireless home internet services. This includes working with third-party devices and software.
  • Assist in provisioning CPE (customer premise equipment) and activating or upgrading accounts for home wireless internet service.
  • Answer questions relative to internet service, billing, equipment and coverage area.
  • Maintain appropriate call logs and provide activity reports when requested.
  • Provide consistent and accurate information to customers.
  • Continually learn and enhance knowledge of rate plans, equipment, products, service offerings and features.
  • Document all customer interactions in trouble ticketing system.
  • Use each interaction with customers as a proactive opportunity to gain customer’s long-term loyalty and financial commitment to the Company as well as advising customers of new offerings and opportunities.
  • Make outbound calls to support company objectives and goals.
  • Investigate, troubleshoot and identify reasons for dissatisfaction in customers with the intent of providing custom solutions, empathy and resolving concerns in order to retain service or win-back a customer.
  • Recommend products and services based on the needs and interest of the customer.
  • Timely follow up with internal and external customers and management.
  • Capture and report reasons for service terminations, customer trends, customer feedback, competitive offerings and valuable information that can be learned from customers.
  • Monitor processes. Ensure they are efficient and effective to complete work in a timely manner while being accurate.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as requested and required.

Education, Certification, and/or Training Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent, or further (higher) education
  • 1-2 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Bi-lingual preferred

Installation and Service Technician – Full-Time

Job Summary: Serves customers by installing and servicing internet systems and products.

Installation and Service Technician Job Duties:

  • Serves existing accounts by analyzing work orders; planning daily travel schedule; investigating complaints; conducting tests; resolving problems
  • Establishes service by installing system requirements for internet service, billing, equipment and coverage areas
  • Maintains rapport with customers by examining complaints; identifying solutions; suggesting improved methods and techniques; recommending improvements
  • Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; and performing preventive maintenance for customers
  • Documents service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records
  • Maintains customer confidence by keeping service information confidential
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; internal and external training initiatives and reading professional publications

Top Tower Hand – Full-Time
Madison, WI

A Top Tower Hand is expected to be a safe and competent climber that is able to handle the most basic to the most complicated tasks. They are expected to be a tower technician role model and assist in the development of all team members. Need to be open to learning all technologies and cross-train where needed. Perform tower construction and maintenance activities including but not limited to assembling/erecting towers, installing antennas, mounting hardware, installing coax and connectors, grounding, testing, positioning and optimizing antennas and lines. Ability to climb to heights over 100 feet. Ability to follow safety rules and regulations based on company policy.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Follow safety rules and regulations as set in the Company’s Tower and General Safety Rules. Follow all state and federal safety regulations while working in an efficient and productive manner.
  • Be secured to the tower at all times while you are on the tower. 100% Tie-Off 24×7…No exceptions!
  • Work independently and as a member of various teams; run the crew in absence of the Team Leader.
  • Commitment to excellence and high standards, uphold quality workman ship.
  • Must be able to read and follow Construction Drawings or specialized methods of procedures to perform installation or maintenance on equipment and/or sites.
  • Must have knowledge on a variety of different equipment, be familiar with working with Coax or Fiber, and experience with Antennas, Radio configurations, and decommission.
  • Ability to fully test a multitude of different pieces of equipment (Sweeps, PIM, Fiber Testing, RETs).
  • Performs tape drops and phot documentation.
  • Assist in training and project oversite, as well as site safety.
  • Identifies and maintains jobsite conditions such as tower and facility lighting, housekeeping, site cleanliness and fire protection.
  • Perform tower construction and maintenance activities including but not limited to, assembling/erecting towers, installing antennas, mounting hardware, installing coax and connectors, grounding, testing, positioning and optimizing antennas and lines.
  • Maintain and repair light bulbs and lighting systems on towers.
  • Troubleshoot and assist in testing a variety of systems.
  • Safely climb towers, water tanks and work on rooftop installations.

Education, Certification, and/or Training Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
  • 3+ years previous experience with tower erection/modification/decommissioning.
  • Must be able to climb towers up to 300 feet with a 50-75# load. Must be able to climb a variety of towers with no exceptions.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and completeness.
  • Pass preliminary and random drug screening, criminal background check and driving background check.
  • Good work ethic, positive attitude, reliability and team player mentality
  • Have mechanical skills/aptitude.

Preferred Skills and Abilities:

  • Climb/Rescue certification, Sweep certification, PIM certification, Fiber certification.
  • Experience in installing, troubleshooting different wireless technologies; familiar with software for testing and administrative needs.

Working Conditions:

  • Working conditions are primarily outdoors, with possible inclement weather.

  • Research specific topics and assist in creating outlines and scripts that can then be used for online video production and in-person presentations.

  • Act as an additional point-of-contact for Bug Tussel University presentation requests.
